Born in Eastern Europe, Liliya Kleschelski and Elena Sambuev met each other in Vancouver , BC .
Liliya has a background in the Academy of Art and a degree in fashion design and couture draping. Elena has a master’s degree from St. Petersburg State University of Technology and Design (specialty in engineering in the garment industry). Their combined international experience and education made the perfect duet.
In 2008, Elena and Liliya started their own company by founding the Lillen label and presenting their first collection: Spring 2009. Success was immediate, the collection was sold to Bisou Bridal- the most prestigious and upscale bridal boutique in Vancouver , BC .
Elegancy and femininity are dominant aspects in Lillen’s designs. The image of a soft silhouette in their design is created by using the finest silk fabrics combined with famous Swarovski crystals, fresh water pearl beadings, laser cut appliqués, and lace.
Lillen dresses are made for sophisticated women, women who appreciate and know quality.
